Special provisions for pupils
Pupils' schooling is governed by regulatory texts that include official guidelines, instructions, curricula and timetables.
Pupils enjoy rights and are bound by duties that help prepare them for school life and for responsibility in society.
Rights
Pupils have the right to a good reception, to freedom from any form of discrimination, to protection from any demeaning words or behavior, and to respect for their dignity and privacy as children.
Respecting pupils requires protecting them from any physical, verbal or psychological violence.
The internal regulations, timetables and the program of complementary activities are communicated to pupils and their parents before the summer break or at the start of the school year.
The administration of the educational institution communicates the internal regulations, timetables, the calendar of complementary activities and the calendar of term tests to pupils and their parents through the available means of communication (letters, correspondence book, fax, electronic communication (SMS, e-mail, etc.) and any similar means).
Pupils may not be released from the institution when a teacher is absent, unless the missed session is the last of the morning or the last of the afternoon.
Pupils may not be removed from the classroom except in extreme and justified cases.
If a pupil has a school accident, the institution's administration takes the necessary measures and reports it to the supervisory authority and the relevant bodies in accordance with the regulations in force.
Practising PE is of major importance in school life and no pupil may be exempted except for health reasons; the exemption is granted by the school doctor or, failing that, a sworn doctor.
Within the framework of school and national solidarity, pupils benefit from social support consisting in particular of teaching aids and school supplies, transport, meals, school health, cultural, scientific and sports activities, as well as recreational activities, in accordance with the regulations in force.
